Zac stands for Zia Anna Corsini ("zia" is "aunt" in Italian). Fruit for the Villa Le Corti Principe Corsini 2018 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Zac comes from a dedicated vineyard, and the wine became a Gran Selezione in 2016; so, relatively recently. It is made with 100% Sangiovese that acts like a sounding board to territory-driven aromas of wild cherry, blue flower and dusty river stone. That distinctive mineral note is especially characteristic of Chianti Classico from San Casciano Val di Pesa. This wine is really gorgeous, also thanks to careful work with cap management during fermentation—an important step for the finicky variety. These results are complex, bright and long. 2023 - 2035
