The inaugural release from La Rogerie, the NV Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Lieux de Vie is a cuvée that will incorporate several parcels in Avize in the future, but this debut iteration is in fact derived entirely from old vines in Le Chemin de Chalons. It's based on the 2019 vintage, with some 40% reserve wines, and it was disgorged without dosage. Wafting from the glass with notes of crisp orchard fruit, peach, white flowers, almond paste, bee pollen and freshly baked bread, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and vinous, with a satiny attack and a deep, layered mid-palate. Beautifully pure and harmonious, it's an impressively accomplished first release, which strongly suggests La Rogerie is taking a short cut into the Champagne stratosphere. Don't miss it! 2023 - 2035
